Prior to a contract:
1. The manuscript is a proofread, spell-checked, completed original work.
2. Children's literature is in multiples of 16 pages.
3. Adult fiction average novel length is between 100,000 and 180,000 words.
4. Adult fiction average pages contain 325 words.
5. A U.S. Library of Congress copyright registration was requested.
6. Registration with the Writer's Guild of America is encouraged.

Submission Format:*
1. Submit a query letter or a 2-page synopsis with the first 25 pages.
2. Include your name, phone, street and e-mail address, along with a brief author bio or resume.
3. Text pages should be numbered and identified by title and/or author.
4. Hard copy or electronic submissions are accepted.
5. PDF or MSWord are the preferred applications for electronic submission.
6. Use 11-pt standard font, 1" margins all around, 1.5 spaced lines.
7. To receive a hard-copy response or return of materials, please enclose a self-addressed container or envelope with proper postage along with the request.
*Non-conforming materials will not be read and may be discarded without notice.
